The Plk1 kinase is also required in this process, probably by participating in the control of the degradation of the Wee1 inhibitory kinase 12 ; . These results suggested that the activity of CDC25B could be an important variable in the cellular response to DNA damage through the modulation of the cell's ability to escape G2-M arrest and enter mitosis when injuries have been repaired. However, an increase in the endogenous expression of CDC25B, as has been observed in a number of human tumors, might also be responsible for an alteration in the physiologic response to DNA damage, thus leading to inappropriate behaviour of the cells. In the present study, we have tested this hypothesis using cancer cell lines in which CDC25B was either overexpressed or reduced either pharmacologically or using an interference RNA strategy. A between groups design was used and participants were assigned to one of four groups according to their chronic disease osteoporosis n 23 ; , polio n 20 ; , ME and endometriosis n 9 ; . ; The NEO five factor inventory was used to measure five domains of personality in order to explore personality at the broadest level. One-way between groups ANOVA were used to measure differences between the mean scores of the four groups across the five personality domains. Results Statistically significant differences between means of the four groups were found on the neuroticism domain [F 3, 81 ; 4.869, p 0.05] and the extraversion domain [F 3, 81 ; 3.262, p 0.05]. No other significant differences were found. Post hoc analyses showed that participants with endometriosis scored significantly higher than the three other groups on both of these domains. Discussion The results of this study suggest that an understanding of personality differences is important when working with individuals with chronic diseases as it may help to understand their health behaviours. Personality differences may also be important as they may have implications for which of the self-management skills taught on the CDSMC individuals will benefit from most. Further quantitative research must be undertaken to explore this.

The 7S and 11S proteins are the major storage proteins in soybeans, accounting for about 70 percent of total seed proteins. However, the two proteins differ considerably in amino-acid profiles, functional properties in food systems and health benefits. In general, 11S globulin contains significantly more methionine and cysteine per unit than 7S protein, and has better gelation properties. In contrast, 7S protein has better emulsifying properties and has recently been found to have stronger ability to lower cholesterol levels. Thus, genetic manipulation of the 7S 11S ratio could change amino-acid profiles, functional properties and health benefits of soy proteins to meet specific application needs. Already, 7S null or 11S null soybean lines have been bred. Soybean Oil and Modification During seed development, soybeans store their lipids in an organelle known as oil bodies, mainly in the form of triglycerides. During processing, components extracted from soybeans by organic solvents, such as hexane, are classified as crude oil. Major components of crude oil are triglycerides or triacylglycerols ; . Minor components include phospholipids, unsaponifiable material, free fatty acids and trace metals. Unsaponifiable material consists of tocopherols, phytosterols and hydrocarbons. The concentrations of these minor compounds are reduced after typical oil refining processes. For economic reasons, oil content in soybeans has generally been maintained around 20 percent or slightly higher at the expense of protein content. In some cases, improved genetic material with 23- to 24percent oil has been reported. However, it would be rather difficult to breed soybeans with oil content higher than this level, because of limited germplasm resources. On the other hand, low levels of oil have been observed in certain genotypes selected for high protein levels. Many of these beans, known as foodgrade soybeans, are generally targeted for exports for making oriental soyfoods. Refined soybean oil contains more than 99 percent triglycerides. Triglycerides are neutral lipids, each consisting of three fatty acids and one glycerol, which links the three acids. Typical soybean oil has a fatty-acid composition of palmitic acid C16: 0 ; , 11percent; stearic acid C18: 0 ; , four percent; oleic acid C18: 1 ; , 24 percent; linoleic acid C18: 2 ; , 53 percent; and linolenic acid C18: 3 ; , seven percent. The soybean is one of the few good plant sources for two essential fatty acids: linoleic acid and linolenic acid. These fatty acids are considered essential because mammals, including humans, cannot synthesize them and they must be obtained from the diet. Linolenic acid is also an omega-3 fatty acid.
